Reykjavik library culture house, Kringlan, Listabraut 3, 103 Reykjavík Directions
Sat Nov 14 2026 14:00
The annual Yule book flood has begun and Icelandic language day is ahead.
Sunna Dís Másdóttir interviews three authors taking part in it, Einard Lövdahl, Margrét Bjarnadóttir and Steinunn Sigurðardóttir.
Aðskotahlutir is Einars second novel following Gegnumtrekkur but his short story collection Í miðju mannhafi won publication by Forlagið in 2021.
Varkár is Margrét Bjarnadóttir's first novel but has already sparked interest. She's a multidisciplinary artist and dance author and has published the books Orðið á götunni and Líf mitt, til dæmis before.
Steinunn Sigurðardóttir is one of Iceland's most celebrated authors. Veisla þrjú is a stand-alone sequel to Ból which won the Icelandic literary prize in 2024. She was also awarded the prize earlier for Hjartastaður.
Warm refreshments will be on offer in the November cold.
Everyone is welcome but the readings will be in Icelandic.
